Archaeologists recently discovered a ceramic button in Linyi County, which is also the earliest button found in China. According to research, this button belongs to Qijia culture type. It has a history of more than 4,600 years. It is 2.5 cm in diameter and 1 cm thick in the middle. It has a thin outer edge and two small holes like buttonholes. The whole button is muddy orange-yellow pottery, the color is earthy yellow, and the surface of the pottery is rough. This ceramic button unearthed in Linyi is the only one in the country. The discovery of this button confirms that the ancestors began to sew clothes to cover the cold more than 4,000 years ago. It is of great value to the study of the lives of the ancestors.
